Apple iPad, iPhone, iTouch Options

You can purchase and read The Economy of One: CODE for Free Agents on your iPad, iPhone, or iTouch in a variety of ways.  Apple offers a number of “apps” from the App Store on your device or through iTunes on your computer.  Most, if not all, apps mentioned are free to install, but content, like the eBook, The Economy of One: CODE for Free Agents, requires a purchase from the associated app vendor.  Many of the apps allow you to read a purchased eBook on multiple devices, like a dedicated eReader, your Apple devices, and on your PC.  Read the details from each vendor as options are continuously changing.  Generally, all downloads sell for the same list price of $7.99.

iBookstore- the iBooks app from Apple gives you access to the Apple iBookstore.  Any eBook purchased from the iBookstore can be used on any Apple device with the same user account.  This app comes standard on the iPad.  You can only reach the iBookstore through your Apple device.

Stanza App with Smashwords- Stanza is a great e-reading app that offers full integration with your personal Smashwords library. Just download the free Stanza app, then using the Safari browser, log into your Smashwords account. You’ll see a convenient link on the home page that allows you to import your Smashwords library directly into Stanza. This way, whenever you purchase a book at Smashwords, it’s instantly readable in Stanza.

Kindle App- Kindle is an eReader, sold by Amazon.  When you buy eBooks from the Kindle store, you are buying from Amazon.  The Economy of One: CODE for Free Agents Kindle Edition is formatted especially for the Kindle store.  The Kindle app for iPad, iPhone, and iTouch allows you to buy and access eBooks and read them on your Apple device through the Kindle store.  Once you log in to the Kindle app, you have access to all material you have purchased from Kindle, no matter which device you originally purchased it on.  You could buy an eBook on your iPhone Kindle app and start reading, then later open it on your iPad and pick up where you left off.  If you also have a Kindle eReader, or an Android phone or pad with a Kindle app, you can switch to it as well.

Nook App- Nook is an eReader, sold by Barnes and Noble.  When you buy eBooks from the Nook store, you are buying from Barnes and Noble.  The Economy of One: CODE for Free Agents Nook Edition is formatted especially for the Nook store, and includes a limited amount of color. The Nook app for iPad, iPhone, and iTouch allows you to buy and access eBooks and read them on your Apple device through the Nook store.  Once you log in to the Nook app, you have access to all material you have purchased from Nook, no matter which device you originally purchased it on.  You could buy an eBook on your iPhone Nook app and start reading, then later open it on your iPad and pick up where you left off.  If you also have a Nook eReader, or an Android phone or pad with a Nook app, you can switch to it as well.

iBooks with Smashwords- Download Apple’s iBooks app, if you haven’t already.  Next, use the iPad’s web browser to visit the Smashwords book page, then download the EPUB version of the book.  The iPad will give you the option to load the book into your iBooks library.  If you have other favorite e-reading apps installed, it may also give you the option to open the books in your other e-reading apps as well.

Scrollmotion- COMING SOON- the app maker, Scrollmotion, makes many apps for reading books.  We anticipate an app soon to be able to read The Economy of One: CODE for Free Agents.  This note will be updated when this option is available.

Kobo App- COMING SOON- Kobo is an eReader, originally introduced by Borders books.  Kobo has an online store for purchasing eBooks and has not been impacted by the financial issues associated with Borders.  You can install a Kobo app from the App Store.  Once The Economy of One: CODE for Free agents is available through Kobo, you can purchase it through this app and read on your iPad, iPhone, or iTouch.  This note will be updated when this option is available.
